Soft rock, hard feelings

In The Wind‍ ‍follows a drifting musician with more doubts than gigs, as he sets out to scatter his father’s ashes only to be sideswiped by friendship and family in a comedy where closure looks a lot like a misfit adventure.

After his father's death, Miles West, a stalled musician, drives upstate with his old bandmate Jody Collins to scatter the ashes, only for the trip to crack open buried grief, old resentments, and an unresolved dispute over a hit song that once defined them both. Amid the chaos, Miles finds unexpected steadiness in Jody's sister Dusty, and the two form a quiet bond rooted in shared loss. As Jody clings to the past, Miles is pulled toward something harder and more hopeful: the truth about the song, permission to grieve, and the fragile belief that his own voice is still worth something.
